Vets to be honored today in Prescott

Flags will be waving, bands will be marching and U.S. servicemen will be honored Tuesday morning at the annual Veterans Day Parade ceremonies at the Bob Stump Memorial Veterans Hospital Center at 500 Highway 89 in Prescott.

“The theme for this year’s event will be ‘A Grateful Nation Salutes a New Generation of Veterans,’” said Public Affairs Officer Frank Cimorelli. “We have great pride in all our servicemen but this year, special honors go out to the young men and women that are keeping an American tradition alive fighting for the freedom of United States citizens.”

Pre-parade activities will commence around 10 a.m. tomorrow with a live concert once again featuring the John Hafer Octet.

Whiskey Row is one of the oldest downtown streets in Arizona. Located in Prescott, Arizona, this famous street is home of the famous Palace Restaurant and numerous other well known haunts.

In fact, the entire Prescott, Arizona downtown area is filled with charming shops and eating establishments. It’s a great place to visit and an even better place to live.

Prescott, Arizona is known as “Everybody’s Hometown” because of its quaint charm and character. Upon visiting, one is immediately struck by the old style downtown area, known as the square.
